Meet Nicole

I am an international social worker and yoga therapist recognized for designing and leading programs that advance sustainability, gender equity, and community development. Over 16 years, I worked in more than 50 countries, often in remote and complex environments, where I witnessed firsthand the deep connection between physical resilience, mental well-being, and community healing.

Yoga became both a personal anchor and a professional extension of my work. Eleven years ago, I turned to Kundalini Yoga to support my own healing from post-traumatic stress related to my field experience. What began as a personal practice evolved into a calling to share this transformative technology with others.

Known as Satya Adi Kaur within the yoga community, I am a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher through the Kundalini Research Institute and a Kundalini Yoga Therapist (1,000-hour certification) through the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology in New Mexico. I taught extensively in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, before returning to New Jersey. I also hold certifications in trauma-informed yoga and in working with individuals managing chronic health conditions—approaches that deeply inform and ground my teaching. Today, I work as a yoga therapist, integrating my background in social work with embodied, therapeutic practices to support holistic healing.

Before transitioning into this work, I spent 16 years in the international aid and development sector, working across diverse and often challenging environments. While my professional focus has evolved, I remain connected to the field through occasional advisory, teaching, and board roles, carrying forward a deep commitment to local service. 

I am currently based in New Jersey, where I continue to weave together my work in social impact and healing.
